The power has been restored to all buildings in Sherwood.
The cable came back and with that, internet so that is good news too! The pools are safe to visit, they have been serviced and cleaned. We are still working on getting our yards and debris removed.

We still have much cleanup and work ahead. We have to count our blessings that any damage in Sherwood is very fixable. Not fun, but fixable.

Mail service has been restored. We may have to replace a mailbox or two in the community.

Please be patient as we recover. I will send out a thank you to certain residents in a later email. Right now, everyone should watch a little television, catch up on a few emails, enjoy the cool air and give thanks for all the things we take for granted.

The good news Sherwood fared very well all things considered. The buildings of Sherwood did very well. No devastating damage; everything is fixable with the roofs. The bad news, the landscape took a beating. Many trees snapped or uprooted. The good news the trees that fell seemed to fall in the right direction and missed buildings, trucks, garages or fell on top of other trees which saved a garage roof or chose a driveway that was not occupied by a vehicle. The half fence behind the clubhouse was compromised by a giant oak falling on it. The old wooden fence in the back blew down. The fence at the Valerie way pool was bent in the back from a tree flying into it. Irrigation clocks are gone at front mailbox area and the landscape of Sherwood is a giant clean up job. We have lots of cleanup to do and it will take some time. Landscape cleanup began in Sherwood 1 and 5 today, September 13, 2017. The others should follow soon. Photos

  • All meetings and activities at the Clubhouse are canceled until further notice.
  • Garbage and recycle pick up resumed in Collier County on Friday, September 15, 2017. So Sherwood should resume to our normal Saturday pick up. Bulky items will be picked up beginning October 2, 2017. Recommend placing all spoiled foods in double bags. If your cans are full you can place bags next to cans. Please double bag for sanitary reasons.

Sherwood is a lovely community of 336 homes (Coach Homes and Condominiums). Most of the homes overlook ponds with fountains. We are located off Radio Road, near the intersection of Collier and Davis Boulevards.

Here at Sherwood, our amenities include a clubhouse, two swimming pools, a fitness room, two tennis courts, two pickle ball courts, horseshoes, and a active social community. Sherwood has six associations that govern our homes and a Master association that governs our common areas.

We are located only minutes from beautiful white sand beaches, historic Naples, downtown Naples, Tin City, Naples Municipal Airport, shopping, banks, hospitals, and medical services.
